Terms of Service
These terms cover the Skillissuelab websites and Finder, our semantic code search tool. By creating an account, installing Finder or buying credits you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Skillissuelab ("we", "us") builds developer tools for AI coding agents. Finder is our first product. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Your account
You need an account to use the hosted part of Finder. Keep your API keys private; you are responsible for activity that happens with them. Tell us promptly if a key leaks so we can revoke it. You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract.
3. The service
Finder has two parts: software that runs on your machine and builds an index of the folders you approve, and a hosted gateway that computes embeddings and reranking for that index. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Finder while you follow these terms.
We improve Finder continuously, so features can change.
4. Credits and payment
- Finder is paid for with credit packs. Packs are one-time purchases. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
- Current packs and prices are listed on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars.
- Credits are valid for 1 month after activation. Top-ups made within that month share the same expiry date. Unused credits expire and are not carried over.
- Indexing and queries consume credits based on the tokens processed. The figures on the pricing page are estimates, not fixed quotas.
- Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, named at checkout. Where that provider acts as merchant of record, it sells the pack to you, handles tax and sends your receipt. We never receive your full card details.
5. Refunds
Refunds follow our refund policy.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Finder to:
- index or process code or data you have no right to access;
- resell, sublicense or share your API keys or credits, or run Finder as a service for third parties;
- probe, overload or bypass the gateway's rate limits, metering or security;
- break the law or infringe someone else's rights.
We may suspend an account that does any of this. Where the problem can be fixed, we will tell you first.
7. Your code and data
Your code stays yours. You give us permission to process the snippets and queries Finder sends to the gateway only as needed to return embeddings and rankings to you. We do not use your code to train models and we do not sell it. The privacy policy describes exactly what is sent, where it goes and how long anything is kept.
8. Third-party services
Finder relies on other providers, including an embedding provider (Voyage AI), a network provider (Cloudflare) and a payment provider. Their availability affects ours.
9. No warranty
Finder returns search results, not guarantees. Results can be incomplete or out of date, and you remain responsible for the code you ship. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Finder is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or lost data.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Finder at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can end or suspend access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (payment already due, liability, your code) do.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and announce it on this site before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Finder after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Contact
